The book cover designs showcased here are from both published works and books currently in the process of being published. Each design is crafted to reflect the essence of the story while capturing the reader’s attention. At this time, I am focusing exclusively on nonfiction books, creating covers that align with the author’s message and connect with their target audience.

Design Brief:

For Seth Gehle’s memoir, I used a childhood photo to set a tone of intrigue and vulnerability, hinting at the story of neglect and abuse that unfolds within. The design reflects the raw honesty and resilience of his journey, inviting readers to uncover the profound transformation he shares.

  • For The Real Reason by Madisson Bednark, I refined the author’s original cover image with carefully chosen fonts and stylization to reflect the raw, evocative essence of her poetic memoir. This poetry collection explores self-discovery, healing, and reclaiming autonomy through themes of trauma, identity, and womanhood.

Along the way, they collect a treasure trove of captivating stories and stunning photographs that encapsulate their adventures. I was excited to bring his story to life through a captivating book cover.

McKenzie crafted a humorous coming-of-age memoir on her experiences working at her mother’s antique store, that eventually she would come to own herself. Filled with humorous stories, the cover design had to capture the whimsy and tone of the story, while also giving representation to the store, F.R.O.G.

After a year of being published, McKenzie has gone onto win The Zibby Award and shortlist for the Whistler Independent Book Awards. Updates to the cover have been made.

Joe Aguglia’s collection of love poems captures the full spectrum of love—from moments of joy to the ache of heartbreak. Through his poetic journey, readers experience the trials and triumphs that love brings. For the cover design, I created a dramatic visual to evoke the intensity of love’s flames—the ones that ignite our passions and, at times, burn us to the core.

Design Brief:

Egnatz wrote a nonfiction book to help readers confront climate change, war, and poverty by way of tackling our money system. I created a book cover that represents hope, climate, our world, and invites readers to engage in some of the biggest challenges of our time.

Design Brief:

Author and poet, Rich Carlson, approached me with a simple sketch drawing of his cover. I luckily was working with a wonderful intern at the time of his request who stepped in to illustrate his cover. Artist Ella Woodward sketched the front cover and then did final art in watercolor. I worked with the illustrator to ensure correct art sizing and placement of font. Then I provided several font options before landing on the final design.
